Operations Technician at Stockholm Exergi

Stockholm Exergi is the energy company for the people of Stockholm, and we have about 800 employees who work every day to reduce the climate impact of Stockholmers. We heat over 800,000 residents, and our 300 km long district heating network is the hub for the community benefits we create. We have now begun the construction of a carbon capture facility at our bioenergy plant in Värtan, with the potential to capture 800,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year, which is more than what Stockholm's road traffic emits during the same period.

As an operations technician with us, you will be offered interesting and diverse tasks within our district heating production. You will have the opportunity to continue developing in our innovative and knowledgeable organization where employees with varying levels of experience together ensure that we are prepared for the energy challenges of the future. You will be involved in monitoring, supervision, and troubleshooting in the production of district heating, district cooling, and waste treatment. You will assist in reporting deviations, planning and executing shutdowns, and restoring the boilers. Working with us means quickly becoming part of the team, being flexible, and creating real benefits for our beautiful capital. We ensure that the residents of Stockholm are warm and comfortable (or cool when needed). We do this in a sustainable way.

This position is temporary, and you will be placed at one of our facilities in Hjorthagen, Hammarby, Hässelby, Brista, or Högdalen. Please note that some of our positions require an approved security clearance.

Requirements

• Ongoing post-secondary education in technology with a focus on energy or other education combined with relevant experience for the role.
• Previous work in combined heat and power is an advantage.
• Good communication skills and the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing, in both Swedish and English.
• Swedish citizenship.
